2010 Outstanding Support for Geography Education Award

The 2010 Outstanding Support for Geography Education Award is designed to recognize and honor individuals whose work takes place outside of the formal classroom, but have made outstanding contributions to support geography education or geography educators.

Outstanding Support for Geography Education awardees will receive recognition within the geographic education community, a plaque during national conference, as well as complimentary registration to the National Conference on Geography Education in Savannah, Georgia, September 29-October 3, 2010.

Please submit nominations for candidates to be honored at the National Conference on Geography Education to the NCGE Central Office. Nominators must be NCGE members. Only individuals who work outside the formal classroom (e.g. government, policymakers, school board, professional development providers, publishers, curriculum developers, etc.) are eligible to receive this award.


The deadline for nominations is June 30, 2010.
