Articles are chosen from the 2011 volume of issues of the Journal of Geography.Awards are given for:

 Best Content Article for Elementary;

 Best Secondary Teaching Article;

 Best College/University Article;

 Best Article for Geography Program Development

Authors of winning articles will receive a plaque at the 2012 National Conference on Geography Education.

Please note that not all awards are given each year. Articles must be from the 2011 volume of issues to be considered.  Nominations may be made by colleagues or may be self-nominations. NCGE members are encouraged to forward their suggestions to NCGE at awards@ncge.org by March 30, 2012. When submitting a suggestion, please place "Journal of Geography Article Recommendations" in the subject line header.
