Outstanding Support for Geography Education Award


The Outstanding Support for Geography Education Award is designed to recognize and honor individuals whose work takes place outside of the formal classroom, but who have made outstanding contributions to support geography education or geography educators.

2012 Outstanding Support for Geography Education award recipients will receive recognition within the geographic education community at the annual award ceremony as well as complimentary registration to the National Conference on Geography Education in San Marcos, TX, October 4-7, 2012.

Please submit nominations to the NCGE Central Office. Nominators must be NCGE members. Only individuals who work outside the formal classroom (e.g. government, policymakers, school board, professional development providers, publishers, curriculum developers, etc.) are eligible to receive this award.


The deadline for nominations is May 11, 2012.
