The National Council for Geographic Education recognizes articles from The Geography Teacher that have significantly helped in the teaching of geography to K-12 students.

Articles must be from the 2011 volume of issues to be considered. Only one award is given per year for the best overall article. NCGE members are encouraged to forward their suggestions to NCGE at awards@ncge.org by March 30, 2012.

When submitting a suggestion, please place "The Geography Teacher Journal Article Recommendations" in the subject line header.

The author(s) of the winning article will receive a plaque at the 2012 National Conference on Geography Education, October 4-7 in San Marcos, TX.
